Vaccinations
CHOLERA
Severe Diarrhoeal illness from contamination water, common in disaster zones and refugee settings.

HEPATITIS A
A liver infection spread through contaminated food or water.

HEPATITIS B
Spread via blood, sexual contact, or medical procedures. Common in parts of Asia, Africa & South America.

Convenient dual vaccine, fewer appointments needed.

JAPANESE ENCEPHLITIS (JAPB)
Mosquito-borne brain infection in rural Asia.
Long-term protection

MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
Highly Infectious viruses. Essential for those without childhood vaccinations.

MALARIA PREVENTION
Protects against malaria in high-risk areas. Available for adults and children.
Begin 1-2 days before travel, continue during and after stay.

- Atovaquone/Proguanil: £1.50 per tablet for adults & £1 per tablet for children
MENINGITIS B
Meningitis is passed from person to person who are in close contact via nasal or throat droplets, for example by coughing, sneezing or kissing. The meningitis B vaccination protects you against infection from the B Types of bacteria.
Protects against that cause meningitis and septicemia.

Boosters are needed if travelling to risk zones or if your last dose was over 10 years ago.

Deadly virus from bites/scratches from infected animals. Found worldwide, especially in Asia, Africa & Latin America.
Emergency treatment still required after exposure.

Bacterial infection from unsafe food or water, common in Asia and Africa.
Protection lasts 3 years (infection); 5 years (oral)

Post Travel Testing
POST TRAVEL TESTING - ZIKA VIRUS
Testing is recommended if you have travelled to a Zika-infected area, have symptoms (fever, rash, joint pain), or are planning a pregnancy after travel.
