Pharmacy Student

Pharmacy Students are a fantastic addition to our pharmacy teams. We support and encourage the development of staff at all levels including those pursuing their degree in Pharmacy. We are happy to accept students at all stages in their degree as we believe that an understanding of the value that community pharmacy provides to patients is fundamental in a pharmacists training.

Through the course of their time with us we would expect pharmacy students to become proficient in all aspects of community pharmacy. This includes over-the-counter sales and consulting with patients face-to-face along with assembling and dispensing prescriptions and maintaining stock levels.

You will need to be a good communicator as you will regularly deal with patients and other healthcare professionals under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist.

You will require basic computer skills as through the course of your working day you will gather, organise, and assess patient information, maintain electronic records, process requests for free NHS services and receive prescription orders. You will also complete patient sales and transactions for over-the-counter medications.
